We are passionate about the work we do. This could not be done without our hard working team.

Here at Help a Hound we care for and rehome greyhounds and working dogs.

Our specialist team work endlessly to home ex-working dogs.

We re-home racing greyhounds from across the U.K and Ireland

Each of our dogs comes with life time support.

They leave with their own care pack including a collar, lead, bowl, muzzle, coat and food. Before our dogs leave they learn to sit, recall, stay, paw and agility. We give each dog swimming lessons as many greyhounds haven’t come across water and its essential they know how to swim in case they ever come across a lake or similar. As we all know greyhounds aren’t the biggest water fan but what if they accidentally fell in?

Their new owners are welcome to use our facilities including weighing their dogs and using our facilities and enclosed exercise areas. We are always on hand to help out with any questions they may have from nutrition to training we are here to help. From corns to basic first aid training we help with everything we can. This includes ear cleaning and nail clipping. We offer free holiday cover all year round and assist with transport if needed. We also provide a microchiping service to chip any unchipped dogs and update owner details.

We do one to one and group training sessions where they are welcome to bring any other family members who would like to lean more too. We have progressed this and now offer our Little Stars Greyhound Training Program for children up to the age of 12. For children 12 and over we offer our Junior Greyhound Training Program. This provides young people with skills and knowledge about greyhounds as well as providing them with work experience they can use to shape their future.

Should the dog’s owners have a change in circumstances the dogs will always be welcome back with us no matter what stage in their life they are at.

Similar support is given by the Reynolds team at Orchard Kennels. We provide this free of charge to all our owners. For anyone with dogs that did not come from us and would like to use our services and facilities we charge a small donation to our charity Help a Hound.
